moments of terror

yesterday marked the foolishness in me..knw what... i subconsciously gave umar the car key, while he wz playin wt the steering, while i went out to unlock the gate..and suddenly i heard.."tiung,tiung..!" Ya Allah, anakku terkunci dlm kereta sorang2..

dahle another set of key left in my handbag, which happened to be at the back seat! masa tu, klu toreh daging pipiku yg montel ini, confirm x kuar red blood ( blue blood adalah!) 4 few seconds, i x think of anything, i could x even squeeze my own hands! that wz the first time & ever i confronted that kind of situation..

nasib baik air cond baru turned off, so it wz quite ok in the car + cuaca pon not that hot & humid ( ptg..almost maghrib dah masa tu..!)

i felt like sreaming, tp kena control sbb kot2 org nampak, sure pak polisi dtg..so, i slowly pointed to umar the alarm, and slowly taught him to push the blue button..Ya Allah..anakku ini mmg super-cheecky (cam mama awie ckp) kid, dia bleh senyum simpul sambil gelak2..sabar je...i did that for 3, 4 times & he wz almost pushed the button, but whenever his index finger wz abt the reach that button, he smiled at me ( sure dia fening kepala sbb mommy dia cam org hilang akal demonstrating to him on how & which button to push..!) i think i finally fully utilized the TPR ( Total Physical Response) theory on how to teach toodlers to follow ur orders.. huh, x sia2 blajo 5 + 3 yrs..

walid plak ODW frm segamat, baru antar his vulcan to the mechanics sbb ade part yg x satisfy his eyes..huhu..camne nak call ni, HP pon dlm tas tgn..as I wz abt to leave him alone, and ran back to the house to make an emergency call to walid, i suddenly heard "tiung, tiung"..as fast as the lightning strikes, i ran back to the car, open all four doors and grinned (nanny dah pesan, klu anak buat salah jgn marah trus, senyum dulu) and he quickly gave me back the car key..AlhamdulliLAH..

when he reached home, i told him this..so this is his advice (to all mommies out ter..)

1. if u need to leave ur kids n the car ( while u unlock the gate) make sure that u ROLL DOWN the driver's window

2. plz make sure that u switch the gear to P ( for auto) & pull up the handbrake

BUT ABOVE ALL, never, ever leave ur kids unattended in the car..

so mlm td, after magrhib prayer, walid suruh buat sujud syukur..syukur, syukur...sigh..uhhhhhh
